The other grail of E. L. Moore photos?

At the The Holy Grail of E. L. Moore photos has a Goofy problem post, Paul mentioned in the comments section that his grail photo would be one of the scenicked front left corner of the Elizabeth Valley RR. This is the best photo of the layout's front lower left corner that I've come across. It's a section of this night photo.
The upper left corner is the location of the Branch Line Station and has been visible in a number of layout photos. The front lower left corner appears to be empty.

  1. That's excellent; thanks! I guess he decided to make it an embankment, so there's little room to do much more there. I'm also a bit disappointed in seeing his open tunnel that goes under the more familiar tunnel on the upper level. I hope that was unfinished- it's a rather poor treatment for that awkward scenic area. Still, I love his work and this photo is an eye-opener.

    1. There are a couple of photos of the valley to the right of the main bridge that might help clarify what's going on with that tunnel. I'll see about getting them processed and posted.

  3. I love picture books (old photos).

With all the photos of Moores models and "layouts" what a fabulous opportunity to publish just such a picture book.

I'm sure that idea "never" crossed your mind. Right. Along with the realization of just how much time consuming work it would be.

I certainly understand. Still - aside from whatever legal obstructions there might be - one can hope?

    1. No, "never" :-) I've explored a number of options, but there are also an equal number of issues. I haven't completely given up on the idea, but it would be a major undertaking.

    2. I've worked on Books - and it is hardly worth the effort. At least that is my experience. Your primary objective is strictly as a contribution. And perhaps being famous (certainly nOt worth the effort).

But if you did do it I'd hock my dog to get a copy...

    3. I'm 95% sure your dog is safe :-) There are so many issues associated with the project, it would be a full-time job in and of itself to get it done. There is also missing information in the ELM story that, ideally, I'd like to know before going ahead with this sort of project - I wouldn't feel that I'd done a proper job or been respectful to ELM's story without having the loose ends and unanswered questions resolved.
