Johnny Lightning Custom '32 Ford

This one originally belonged to my sister. It's missing the windshield, but it's otherwise intact. I recall it was fast.
I guess the key phrase here is, 'was fast'. With that bent front axle, it can't even drive straight anymore let alone go fast.

  1. How I adore this car! never had any J Lightning, just Hot Wheels, Superfast, Whizzwheels and Corgi Rockets. I grew up in the UK and maybe J Lightnng weren't that well stocked in the toy shops in the Sixties here? Dunno. It reminds me of the Hot Heap and I see you have an ace picture of that too! Great little cameos. Keep it up JD! Cool blog. Woodsy from Moonbase C.

    1. Thanks for your kind words! I grew up in Toronto and I think Johnny Lightnings were a bit rarer than Hot Wheels, which seemed to be in every store that sold toys. Woolco is where my parents shopped the most, so they likely came from there.
