First round of road painting

Roads were the next thing to be painted. Like the sidewalks they're going to need several layers of different shades. For the first layer on Ocean Boulevard and Old Post Office Lane I used loosely mixed titanium white and carbon black tube acrylics. I'd mix a little dab of black to some white to get a grey that was a bit darker than the sidewalks, but not a stereotypical deep, black. I must admit the pictures show the roads to be a much deeper black than they seem to appear when viewed by eye. Also, you'll note a white line near the track apron where I didn't line up the masking tape too well. These are things I need to correct in the next round.
