Dollar architecture

Ok, well, only that thin apartment on the left was $1; that squat thing on the right, that might have once been part of a motel, was $2. This is more than I usually buy at most swap meets, but I was pleasantly surprised at today's finds. There are no manufacturer's marks on either, but I suspect they're both German - and that 8150 may help with identification. With a little enhancement they'll fit right in on the Alta Vista TC.

  1. Those are cool buildings, you did well to get them for that price. 8150 is part of Kibri 8150, a very stylish post office. Another post office makeover in the works?

    1. I was hoping that I'd find the missing piece and convert it to a Canada Post outlet of some sort, but no dice. I emailed the seller and he said he got this piece, and the others, in an estate lot last year, but didn't realize they went together. He thought the other pieces were a model of a hospital. All reasonable things to assume without a little digging. Turns out the other pieces were sold last year, but I'm happy with the piece I bought. When I first saw it, it reminded me of the office section of a motel, probably because of the overhang. It's not in bad shape except for a few glue blobs on one set of windows. Not sure what it'll become, but it certainly has a lot of interesting features.
