A Mini Moore Mystery

Piece #1

I've been puzzling over these two stray pieces of E. L. Moore buildings for quite sometime and can't figure out where they might come from. So, dear reader, I'm asking you, do you recognize these pieces?

Piece #2

I offer no prizes other than glory. If you think you know which models they're a part of, please let me know in the comments.

  1. Without digging too dig, I'm just guessing: an inner wall from a station.... and an out building from his red barn article?

    1. Thanks for the ideas! I'll do some checking against articles to see if I can find matches.

    2. You know, could that red barn be the original I copied for my EVRR? I probably got the photo from a Spumoni article and just put it next to the "lakefront" cottage. Being his photos were always b/w, I painted mine like silvery old wood, but maybe it was red in real life?

    3. Hmmm. It looks like it was glued to something sometime in its life. I'll see if I can dig up those early rural Spumoni 'Estate' articles.

    4. Ok. After a little checking, and using your great clue!, I'm thinking it is the front facing side attachment on the barn shown in the photo at the bottom of page 55 in the Jan '66 issue of Model Railroader that's part of the ELM article, 'The old red barn'. I'll see if I can post a comparison picture.
